Churches in Shouldham Thorpe Parish

St Mary's Church is early medieval in origin and has a fine Norman arch around the west door.  It is Grade II* listed.

Shouldham Thorpe is a small conservation village with about 150 inhabitants, and the church is in the centre of the village in a lovely setting with many trees in the churchyard, which is open for burials.  The grounds are very pretty in spring time, with primroses and other spring flowers in bloom around ancient gravestones, although the flowers tend not to last long because of the resident population of wild rabbits.

St Mary's has a simple, very calm interior, and has some light fittings which are candle-lit, which provide a wonderful atmosphere at the Christmas Carol Service.
